So on the second day of the trip, we woke up and headed downstairs for an amazing buffet breakfast. I was too focused on eating and forgot about taking photos. We had scrambled eggs (as always), rice, sausages, cereal and all the usual things you'd see at a western buffet breakfast in a hotel.. Except that in Korea they also offer Korean style breakfast alongside the western style breakfast.

We got off the bus and walked up to reach this place. Here's the Dabotap! This temple is classified as a Historic and Scenic Site by the South Korean government and it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1995. This temple is considered a masterpiece of the golden age of Buddhist art in the Silla kingdom.

And... as usual, started doing photoshoots in the middle of the place with everyone. It was a great time of fun and laughter while learning and understanding a big part of Korea's history.

After that, we headed towards Goryeong for lunch! This place offered a wide variety of dishes and the main dish was a bibimbap. Though, I did not have much appetite since I ate a lot during breakfast. The dishes were very delectable and they all complimented well with each other. I particularly liked the fried dishes that really went well with the sweet and sour sauce.

Thereafter, we headed to the Daegaya Museum, which was located near the Jisanri Tumulus Site. The tombs of the Daegaya kings, which were made from AD 400 to 562 when Daegaya was ruined, are lined together. Over 200 large and small tombs, of the Royal Family and the aristocrats, are positioned together.

Before heading to see the tombs, we were given a tour in the museum of all the items and relics excavated from the tombs. We were given a tour by an English-speaking guide and there were many things explained, including the Royal Family's accessories and jewelry, unique earthenware, ironware and horse equipment.

Did you know, that when a king dies, all his royal subjects and aristocrats are buried along with him, dead or alive...?

After that, we headed up to take a look at the famous tombs that were lined together. It was an amazing sight as I have never ever seen anything like it. Imagine tombs upon tombs lined up in a row in front of the other. And of course, we all started taking photos together with the tombs... I'll let the photos do the talking!

After that, we headed to the Gaesil Village where we learned how to make Yeot! Yeot is a type of traditional Korean candy that is made from sugar and you need to powder your hands and continue stretching it till it turns from brown into a sandy color. From there on, it hardens itself and you can use a wooden stick to break it into smaller pieces. When you put it into your mouth, it turns into a sticky, chewy paste that you eat. Here's a little video on how we made Yeot!

After we were done, we headed to the next area: Cosmos Flower Street! The entire place was amazing and it was just the right timing for the perfect photo shoot!! We wasted no time and started running down the pathway. I'll let all the photos do the talking this time!

After that, we headed to a horse ranch where we had an outdoor barbecue! The atmosphere was great, the smell of the food tantalized my nostrils and the flavors danced on my taste buds. The food was amazing! We had roasted chicken, grilled pork, pizza, and grilled lamb! The pizza crust was as thin as paper and delicious.. I still remember the taste of the chicken and the lamb because they melted so perfectly in my mouth. Just thinking about it makes me salivate..

After that, we headed to the last location for the day: The Daegaya Starry Night Festival. The Festival was extremely lively, with live performances, different booths with different activities for people to do, from trying on cultural costumes to making ddeok cake. The main part of the festival, however, is that people get to release lanterns into the sky. It was extremely beautiful and I'll let the photos and the video at the end tell you more!

It was an amazing day and an even more amazing night. It was really special because everyone wrote their wishes and dreams on the lantern before releasing them into the night sky. It was beautiful and the atmosphere was just really touching. I thoroughly enjoyed myself throughout the second day. Can't wait to share more of the 3rd day with you!
Till next time~
